The Hotel and Loisir "Le Ruote" is the ideal stop on the francigena road .

The resort "Le Ruote" is located on the ancient francigena road or ( pilgrim road) : an itinerary of the Middle Age , that crossed Europe from Canterbury to Rome, This is the road used for 7 centuries by the pilgrims heading to Rome.

The pilgrims crossed the Alps in Aosta Valley and when they descended in Piedmont and Lombardy reached the Po Valley they stopped here before they crossed the Apennine: the Abbeys the Inn that still exist today, were the places where the pilgrims could stop and receive refreshment. The Francigena road represents the European cultural itinerary, whose purpose is to retrace the evocative historical memory.

And in Cadeo ( that name means House of God ) the pilgrims on the road to Rome stopped already in 1100, when the hospital that assisted them was built.

On the Road to Rome people of different languages and habits met : these places touched by monks, merchants, religious, pilgrims are the evidence of a united Europe rooted in the Christianity politically expressed by the Roman Sacred Empire, to retrace this itinerary means to live again the historical reasons for the actual European union.

The Hotel and Loisir Le Ruote is located within easy reach of the highway crossing ( 5 km from A1 exit and A21 dir. "Fiorenzuola" and 16 km from the exit A1 and A21 of "Piacenza" ) and as it is located on the Emilia Road ( SS 9 ) the contemporary name of the Francigena Road, represents the principal meeting point at the main traffic roads that connect North with centre and the south Italy, the Piedmont, Liguria and north east regions.

Many tourists , groups, that go to Rome or in pilgrimage to other Italian Sanctuaries, are already choosing Hotel and Loisir Le Ruote for its strategic location , referred to the highway-crossing and also because the Province of Piacenza counts many opened and in good shape castles , Sanctuaries and Abbeys , built in order to assist spiritually and materially the pilgrims that were on the Francigena Road , and we would like to quote a slight part of it :
